| I thought that I might introduce myself. I am Karen from Erie. The Road was being shot on our beaches here at Presque Isle. I was fortunate enough to be able to see some of the filming and get photo's. I met with Melanie (an asst. director) who gave me permission to take them. I had to keep back a good distance, so the quality isn't the best....but if you love Viggo...you'll enjoy these enough. I hope it's ok to post them here. I was asked not to invade Viggo's space on another website...and I thought that meant stalking him or acting like a crazed fan...and I proceeded to post details of taking the photos and an autograph opportunity that I had with Viggo. They weren't too happy with me. I guess that it was my own fault for breaking their board posting rules. I hope that these pictures are welcome here. If not, please feel free to remove them. I truly do not want to offend anyone in anyway! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask away..... Here you go..... Viggo with the colored bags Again These were the best shots....Hope you all enjoy them! | |

| Oh wow Karen, you lucky thing!!! We are now all jealous (just kidding). Thank you so much for sharing your photos, and I hope you will post more about your experiences on location, and anything else you care to share with us. We would love to hear. We are a small, friendly and pretty obliging bunch of people here, and we welcome new members with open arms, particularly those who come bearing gifts of Viggo. Occasionally something is posted in the wrong place, and it is moved or something like that, but generally the Admins here are very easy going. If you are not sure, please ask. Be aware too that we are a very international group on this site, and on a rare occasion there is a miscommunication, when something comes across as unintended, because of language. If anything bothers you, please feel free to send me a PM, and I will help in any way I can. Just don't send me any technical questions, as I am the resident troublemaking novice, who always lands on the doorstep of someone else wanting to know how to do things. If it is computer help you require, you will fare much better with Afrodita or Kaladhar. Anything else, and my door is always open. If you have not already done so, there is a place to introduce yourself, I believe I put it under the 'Whatever' category, so feel free to stop by there and give us the opportunity to formally welcome you. Now please feel free to post to your heart's content | |

| Of course we're all jealous, Karen! But as long as you come sharing pictures like that and share your encounter with Viggo with us we'll all get over it, I'm sure. Welcome aboard first off! You and your pics are most welcome here. We're delighted you could make it. I saw these pics over at ATV where I'm a member. They're great and in no way do I find them spoilerish or fan-crazed. I would be so excited to have seen the filming of any movie especially a Viggo movie and would be just dying to share with others. Tell us, please -- it looks so very cold. Was it the day of filming? That looks to be Viggo in the beige coat with hood. Was the young lad about? What were your impressions of Viggo? Was he friendly or did he look like he was quite enveloped in his character? Were you a fan of him before? Besides being an actor are you familiar with some of his other talents? Were you nervous meeting him? C'mon tell all.... I met him once at the Toronto Film Festival when he was promoting Alatriste. I must share with you some time. It was an exciting experience. One I cherish however brief. And bizarre. |
