My guess for the clues though would be an OWL, although I do sometimes see them when I am walking in the woods in the early morning.

Raccoons are my favourite forest animal. Once I found one sleeping in my car as I had left the window open overnight. It was a baby or fairly young. I ended up being late for work as had to open all the doors and wait for it to leave.

Then again raccoons also have fingers and are quite adept at opening tent zippers, coolers and Oreo cookies bags. Smile

Tell me! The hat Davy Crockett always wore, wasn't that a racoon fur? I remember the striped tail. To me the racoons remind of a mixture of a red panda bear and a cat.
